Paige tapped out in a surprising clean loss to Natalya on WWE Raw this week, and it could be because she’s got backstage heat. Dave Meltzer has stated that “something happened with Paige” because she’s been taken out of title contention and was booked to lose by tap out. This is just a few weeks into her new heel character, and the clean tap is the sort of move that WWE uses to bury talent.
Meltzer doesn’t know what she did and is going to look into it, but it sounds like she is being punished for something.
Whatever is going on with Paige, it was good to see Natalya getting a big win. Hopefully WWE use Natalya a bit more now, as she really is one of the best female wrestlers.
